A Cartier Roadster for a perfect watch
S refers to a sport model that is between the standard model and the Turbo model in Porsche language. It has the attractiveness of the original Turbo version without having the showiness of it. The most interesting fact is it this S sport model is more expensive than the original version of Turbo.
In the Cartier language also this label means ‘sport’ but interestingly this is not more expensive. Roadster S watch, the newbie, from Cartier is a more simplified version of their renowned Roadster watch collection. People would prefer the S model over the standard version for its more clear-cut designing and layout. The “bullet” shaped sapphire crystal lens have become outdated that were synonymous both with the crown, and the screws on the case. The crown in this is a bit sleeker and has a black line on the dial around the date window that alludes to the pointy, rounded shape of the sapphire crystal lens on the standard Roadster watch.
Roadster S timepiece comes in two versions. Both have a Cartier Caliber 049 automatic movement which is 45.9 mm wide and 11.8mm thick. One of the versions has a pictured steel version that comes with a steel bracelet. A less expensive version with a rubber bracelet and an aDLC coated bezel in black that matches the color of the rubber strap is also available. Both the versions have stylish and contemporary look at the same time. These two versions of Cartier are considered to be the watch of the decade.
The Roadster S comes with Roman numerals, iconic Cartier dial in silvered opaline, and a white and lume coated sword-style hands. The white numeral that has the black colored date disc is an excellent design element. These watches bear with them the Cartier spirit and also with a sporty look in it.
