For some people designing exquisite jewelry is a passion and an innate interest. These folks have a lifelong mission to design and present new forms of jewelry to delight fans and patrons who are lovers of jewelry. One of these jewelry designers is Dana Levy who was quite clear as to what her calling in life was, from a very early age. Dana is the designer for Dana Rebecca Designs and happens to be a third generation jewelry designer.

Dana got her grounding in jewelry design at her father’s jewelry factory and had the good fortune of launching her very first jewelry line when she was still in high school. This shows her passion for jewelry right from a fairly early age. Dana wanted to get trained professionally in jewelry design which is why she opted to join the Gemological Institute in Carlsbad in California. The course taught her the basics of jewelry design after which she set up the Dana Rebecca Designs jewelry company in 2006.

When it comes to designs of jewelry, Dana has been influenced greatly by her travels to diverse countries like China, India, Tanzania, Brazil and Kenya. These countries have well developed jewelry traditions which are seen to inspire the jewelry designed by Dana in term of angel skin coral, blue topaz, sleeping beauty turquoise and the like. She has also featured a lot of carved gemstones in her collection, which are quite reminiscent of Oriental designs and styles.

Dana has gained a lot of critical acclaim in a very short span of time and her creations have been featured in Inside Weddings, Elle Accessories, The Oprah magazine and CS Chicago Social to name a few. Many of her pieces have also been worn by well known celebrities like Lauren Conrad, Debra Messing and Kate Perry.

If you want to check out Dana Rebecca Designs, you can look for them in specialty boutiques and these can be bought for prices from $750-$6,000.
