For the first time ever cable cars have gone for VIP status and that too in an artistically jeweled fashion. 67 cable cars atop Singapore’s world-renowned Mount Faber have been rated 7 stars, and the system is completely illuminated with LEDs.

The monocable rope-way is situated in Singapore’s world famous tourism resort, and it links Sentasa Island with Harborfront Tower. The concept flaunts elegant looking chrome and metallic black cabins that are covered in glass body and flooring.

The cabin features Swarovski Crystal Panel glass floor, comfortable upholstered chairs with black leather, the arm rests which are covered in Swarovski black crystals, and even the roof illumination receives the Swarovski Crystal Panel treatment.

Other luxurious utilities include ambient foot lights, DVD player facilities for a 19-inch LED screen, Bose Music system and a refrigerator. The Mount Faber Cable Car is considered as the symbol of Singapore’s tourism success story. The Chairman of Mount Faber Leisure Group, Olivier Lim has remarked that the vision of the company and that of the government to make Mount Faber Singapore’s global tourism attraction in the form of a remarkable hilltop destination has come to life with the 7 star VIP Cable Car System.

The Mount Faber Cable Cars are considered another addition to Singapore’s list of tourism attractions that help the city ensure that it always remains well positioned to take advantage of Asian as well as global market growth. The Cable Cars further help the city in transforming its leisure landscape.

Previous month records from the Singapore Tourism Board have revealed that the city is well on its way to achieve record tourist visits. The Tourism Board has reported 7.6 million tourist visits to the country from January to August 2010, which is estimated to cross more than 12.5 million by the end of the year.
