During the Sporting classing, the first of may RM Auctions will beat one of the most significant pieces in the field of historic racing cars: the BMW 328 ‘ “Büegelfalte in 1937 .The car, which surely will reach record figures, participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1937, driven by drivers like Fane and Dobbs, and also to the following year. The body beautiful, charming and singular was designed by Kaiser Wilhelm, a great expert designer of the House of Monaco, led by the Head of Style Wilhelm Meyerhuber.

The car was built at the sports Milbertshofen. The nickname “Büegelfalte” in German “fold of the pants” from its special wave shape of the body, at the top of the fenders.

In 1945, at the end of World War II, the car was delivered to the Soviet Union as compensation for war damage and was delivered to Artiom Ivanovich Mikoyan, head of the company that built the fearsome Soviet Mig Aviation. In 1972 his son sold it to Polish Guido Adamson, who held it until 2001. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Mr. Adamson handed it to the BMW Museum in Monaco. The current owner was able to buy the same year, while the museum decided to outline a copy.
