That is how much the world’s most expensive whiskey costs. This super luxury drink can be savored at the Macallan Lounge at Montage Beverly Hill. Macallan has always been known for its vintage and luxurious liquors. The previous year Macallan whisky bottle of 50 years vintage was sold for a record $18650 at Glasgow during the world’s largest whisky sale.
This year Macallan has surpassed itself and is now offering a 64 year old single malt at its lounge for a mere $60,000 for a single shot. This high-class malt is being served in exalted surroundings of the elite Monatge Beverly Hills situated near Rodeo Drive.
The luxurious hotel is providing its patron with more opportunity to taste luxury liquors at its Ten Pound Lounge. The lounge is a new addition to the establishment. It will serve its patrons single malts from the Macallan distillery. It has the unique distinction of being the only official Macallan outpost in the entire US of A. along with the most expensive whiskey from Macallan they will be serving other less expensive brews from the distillery too.
To keep up with its name the Ten Pound will be serving a 12-year-old single malt from Macallan for 10 Scottish pounds around $16 for a single serve. The lounge is strictly for patrons with prior reservations. Walk in guests are not welcome to spend their evenings here. The lounge has a warm cozy feel to it, thanks to the dark wood paneling. The excellent ambience adds to the deluxe living. Patrons are expected to pay a minimum seat cover charge of $50 for each person.
