The urban wonder of and luxury car
It promises a speed of 95 mph in water and 40 mph on land. Suitable for golf resorts and beaches, sea and shore alike, the new Multi Amphibious automobile from CT & T, is a technological marvel. An electric car manufactured by the Korean company, CT & T, known for its expertise in this field, the vehicles is a 4 seater. It could be the most effective form of transport if you have to cover both land and water on the same trip. Proven to be fuel efficient and light-weight, you cannot go wrong with this one.
Moving on six wheels, this electric car is one of the latest productions displayed on the Detroit Auto Show, along with two other new models from CT & T. What this could mean for a regular commuter is a bypass of all traffic congestion on the road where there is a water route available, canal, river or sea. Though it would be good to spend some thoughts on whether we can use our waterways better than to simply transfer our road traffic to them, it is an advantage offered by this amphibious vehicle that none other does.
However, there are some counter-arguments to the promised speed in water. While the promise is of 95 mph in water, the speed may actually drop to about 10 mph, with a lesser range than approximately 80 miles on land.
A 7 kilowatt electric motor and lead-acid batteries, in a waterproof compartment, give power to the vehicle on land. While in water the vehicle makes a switch to propellers for drive power and the water-proof compartment containing the batteries ensures that there is no scope of danger due to mixing of water and electricity. A lot of skeptics have been convinced that this is actually possible, that an electric vehicle can actually be taken into water.
For all those folks with houses by the lakes, or holidays planned by the sea, this is surely a dream come true. Drive to your destination and do not worry about how to cruise the waters. An all in one vehicle can prove to be very useful.
