Luxury flight simulation by Flyit
Ok, so you want to learn how to fly a helicopter? There is a company called Flyit that makes a flight simulator so that you can learn to fly and log hours without ever leaving the ground. This 18 ft cockpit shaped simulator is run by a computer and an LCD screen that will simulate skylines and vistas that you would be seeing if you were truly in the cockpit of a helicopter. This baby can even simulate up to 24 thousand airdromes not to mention the weather conditions that come with them. The cockpit is built to accommodate two people.
This simulator can also simulate different helicopters made by different manufacturers. Among these are MD, Robinson, Schweizer, Bell, and Enstrom models. If you want a model that is not listed, then ask Flyit to add it to your list and for a fee, they will. This model simulator currently has a market value of $105,000.
Flyit Simulators, Inc. is the manufacturer of this model. In business since 2003, their first simulators were delivered to ERA Aviation in Anchorage, AK. ERA still uses their flight simulators but have now switched to a twin engine model.
Flight simulators can be fun and educational for a plethora of different types of reasons. One of the most obvious reasons is to learn how to fly. Another would be to gain better hand eye coordination. Also, for the uber rich, this might actually be considered the ultimate in video games to keep the kids occupied. There are many other reasons for this simulator as well.
Flyit has a few different models of flight simulators available. The best part is that each simulator can be built to your standards…meaning that if there is a specific brand or model helicopter that you would prefer to know how to fly, just tell them and they will incorporate it into the simulator of your choice for a nominal fee.
