The Grand New
AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, is proud to present the new Grand, an evolution of the highly successful Grand helicopter. The new Grand has all the latest developments in avionics, while maintaining the unique properties, its superior performance, levels of cabin space and payload provided only by helicopters larger and more expensive, lower operating costs, high levels of safety standards. New Grand offers unprecedented opportunities: the capacity utilization of rotorcraft sets a new standard to market a helicopter multitude of applications.
The new Grand has already received the EASA and FAA certification should be reached mid-2010.
Equipped with EVS (better vision systems) and a Terrain Awareness Warning System (TAWS) for night operations, the New Grand meets the last NTSB / FAA recommendations for the operations of EMS to consider the use of an approved FAA night vision goggle or improved the vision system in flight plans when conditions and mission dictate. The new Grand will be the first type of certificate Twin Light (CS / JAR / FAR 27) with a new EFIS with Synthetic Vision. The new Grand has a four-axis digital autopilot coupled with a duplex double flight director and a new Radio Management System (RMS) that allows centralized management of radio communications and navigation systems of the helicopter, while the integrated display System (IDS) provides the monitoring data of the engine.
The new Grand offers outstanding performance and a large cabin that can accommodate up to six passengers or two stretchers up to more medical care. Its features make the New Grand an ideal platform in its class for VIP transport, offshore transport, passenger transport, EMS, SAR, shuttle pilot port (HPS), coastal patrol and purposes of government.
Through these unprecedented capabilities, the new Grand demonstrates his unique and provides a quantum leap for both operational effectiveness and safety.
