Ex Sinatra residence keeping all the luxurious charm
There are some houses that are famous not only because of the unique properties of the house, but also because of the fact that these were owned and occupied at some time by luminaries in their fields. One such house is the Twin Palms located in the inimitable Pam Springs in California. This is a house that dates back to the year 1947 and the design of the house is credited to Stewart Williams.
Williams was commissioned by Frank Sinatra and his wife Nancy Barbato to build this house that was quite contemporary in the middle of the 29th century. This is exactly how the Sinatras wanted the house to be and being the architect that Stewart Williams was, he did not disappoint even an ounce. The house is located in a colony which is famously known as the Palm Springs’ Movie colony. Apart from this house belonging to Frank Sinatra and his wife, there were houses of Jack Benny, Cary Grant and Al Jolson. The house is thus part of the movie heritage of Hollywood.
Twin Palms boats of a 4,500 square feet area, with four bedrooms each with suite bathrooms. It is legendary because it has Frank Sinatra’s famous recording studio, and a number of marvelous and peerless examples of art that are quite matchless and invaluable too. The house is a fine example of opulence and functionality, genteelness and style that characterized all that Frank Sinatra stood for and embodied.
Twin Palms has a rich heritage of having hosted some of the best known and most remembered parties to have been thrown in Hollywood by Frank Sinatra. Luminaries of the movies like Greta Garbo, Bob Hope, Phil Silvers, Joan Crawford and many more were regulars at the parties here. The house also witnessed many of Frank’s bouts and rage, which were legendary in all of Hollywood.
