Jonah Hill and his new Los Angeles crib addition

Jonah Hill, the blue eyed, round and rugged looking, twenty something comedian and actor, has been getting too many projects off late and has been in the lime light quite often for various reasons in the recent days. He has surprised everyone by purchasing a luxurious house high in the hills, and credible sources confirmed that this young boy has financed his own house through his earnings and a trust controlled by his father, who was the accountant of the ever popular “guns ‘n roses” band. This upper mid century modern house, specially designed by architect Robert Dorman has cost him a fat $1.86 million.

This house was originally built and owned by a then business tycoon Filmore Crank and his actress wife Beverley Garland in 1959. Located in a serene enclave, this 3066 sq ft one storied building with three bedrooms and attached bathrooms, the house has also a separate storeroom, a playhouse for children and a fully fledged guest house, all this exclusive of the main building.

Though it may seem very fancy it is not so, the interiors are definitely not a treat for the eye. The ceilings need some major renovation to beat the heat during the California summers. The kitchen needs remodeling, as it is hot and stuffy without any ventilation.

The measurements of the living room are very haphazard, they have length more than the width. It is funny how the playhouse is separated from the main building. Though the mastersuite is overlooking the pool, there is a small reading corner in the bathroom which is separated from the bathtub by a style disastrous so called “decorative wood screen”. It is but obvious that there are several disasters in the house, and it is only hoped that our Mr. Hill will have the fashion sense to correct these by employing a good architect and a proper designer to remodel the house.
