HUDHURANFUSHI- the surfer luxury paradise
Resorts change with time, even as they get upgraded and refurbished to attract customers and get reinvented. The Lohifushi resort was got upgraded to a 4 star luxury beach villa and has been given the new name of Huduranfushi which literally means the Island of White Gold.
The Huduranfushi resort is located in North Male Atoll in the islands of Maldives and it was renovated by the Aitken Spence Hotels group. In addition to the refurbishment of 137 guest rooms, as many as 26 delightful water bungalows were also added to the list. The beach villas have thatched roofs and polished cement flooring with regular amenities like TV, Mini bar, outdoor open air showers and bathtub too. The entire interior as well as exterior of the resort has been done up to reflect contemporary styles and as per 4 star resort standards.
This is a resort that is located around 30 minutes by boat ride from Male, the capital city of the Maldives which has an international airport. This is quite an ideal vacation spot for surfers as well as regular vacationers. This resort has pristine white sandy beaches and crystal clear lagoons the sheer beauty which is enough to take your breath away.
One of the biggest attractions of the Huduranfushi resort is the chance to indulge in some serious surfing. Maldives offers some of the best surf waves during the March to October period. During this time, the surf height can vary from 2-8 feet with there being as many as 7 breaks between the locations of Male and Thulhusdhoo.
