King’s Island- the Denmark style private universe

There are only a few islands in the world that are truly special, and King’s Island is one of them, located in Denmark. It has been commissioned by King Christian IX in 1890. The total surface of the island is of 180,000 square feet and you can find there 200 rooms, about 2.5 miles of hallways and in the moment of creation there was need for more than 2.5 million tons of Bornholm granite.

The Denmark island is known to the local people as Middelgrundsfortet and it is known all over the world for being the largest artificial island that isn’t connected to the mainland. In the last nine years the island has been used as a private island and as a hotel facility and conference facility.

The hotel area consists of 24 rooms and 88 beds including a master suite that comes in a maritime style. During the years many features of the island property have been kept intact, including the original doors and windows made of oak and also the mine station, the generators and the crew lounges. Nonetheless there have been some modern features added to the island, including a modern restaurant, bar and billiard lounge and a nightclub.

This can be the perfect island getaway in case of team buildings, seminars and conferences. It could be owned by a single large corporation, or it could become the common property of several smaller companies.

Island owning is not as complicated as it may seem at first. In case of non-residents of the country all there is need for is a company established in the country by the person in question. Once it is done, he or she can buy the island without any further complications.

For sure you would also like to have your own personal little island in the heart of Europe.
