In the Waitemata Harbor Pakatoa is located about 32 kilometers from Auckland City one of the few privately owned islands in the Hauraki Gulf, as most of the islands are kept as reserve and park land. The island was developed as a destination resort in 1950 and now offers the ability to expand and give more value to its tourism potential as well as that of being a unique piece of water used for business affairs related to New Zealand.

This offer represents a rare opportunity to purchase an exclusive piece of real estate in New Zealand.

The island has 24 acres of rolling terrain that rises from sea level up to about 56 meters.

Pakatoa Island has two beaches to the east and north of the coast.

The predominance of buildings currently on site are found more in the northern part of the island, with houses built on hills and open pastures that occupy the southern half of the island.

The island is largely covered with Christmas trees and pine trees, various types of palm trees and large open areas of grassland.

The island had been managed in recent years as an independent system of visitors, with structures and buildings designed to meet the visitors both day and night.

Recreational facilities on the island are the beaches and swimming pool, 2 mini tennis, a bowling alley, squash court, gym and solarium.
