Unlike so many others of his billionaire colleagues, the eccentric Richard Branson loves to be in the center of attention, considering the publicity the best branding strategy. The gentleman likes to live the life to the maximum, indulge himself in luxury cars, extravagant parties, expensive hotels and private islands.

In the 70’s , Branson has bought Necker Island, a tropical island not inhabited at that time , where he desired to build a vacation house for him and his family and ended up transforming it in one of the most appreciated vacation destination for the rich and famous people like Hollywood celebrities, rock stars, business men or even royalty.

Situated in the North-West extremity of the Virgin Islands archipelago, the Necker Island is a rocky terrain of 30 ha, surrounded by the clearest crystal waters of the Caribbean.

The architecture of the main house is strongly impregnated with Balinese influences, the 10 double rooms spreading beauty and elegance through the materials used, the Haitian paintings hanging on the walls, the seashells and the coral bouquets decorating the interior. The largest of the rooms, the one that accommodates Richard Branson himself has of course its own terrace and Jacuzzi.

Bali Leha Spa – Leha meaning in Bali, peace relaxation and dream- is built on the edge of a cliff, over the ocean, and has opened its gates in December 2003, since then becoming a “must” for a large number of celebrities.

The renting rate begins with 42.500 dollars per day for the whole island (minimum stay is 5 days), but there are occasions when the rooms can be rented separately from 21.500 dollars/ week for 2 people.

Also in May 2003 the billionaire has become the co-owner of a tropical Australian island, Makepeace (evaluated at 5 million dollars), destined to the Virgin staff from all over the world.
