About six months ago he got his latest yacht, the Eclipse yacht and it seems like he came up with a new idea. He decided to charter the yacht for $2 million per week.
This luxury yacht is of 538 feet and it is available for charter through SuperYachtsMonaco. At the moment it is the world’s most expensive charter. The owner is known for the fact that he considers privacy and intimacy very important, so it is very unlikely that a person would pay $2 million just to take a look at the interior of the megayacht.
Unlike the majority of the motor yachts, this one has room for 30 guests, along with 75 crew members. Those travelling with this yacht can feel in total safety, because it is known to have missile defense system, bulletproof windows, armor plating, helipads, swimming pools and also a wellness center among other kinds of luxury features.
The yacht is known to have cost almost $800 million to build, but the current owner, due to some clever negotiation managed to pay only $485 for the luxury yachting. Naturally we also have to consider that it costs about $50 million every year just the maintenance of the yacht, and in order to fill the tanks with fuel it costs about $650,000. No wonder that he wants to rent it.
