When too expensive is actually too expensive in boating?
Sometimes too much is just too much. It is known that when it comes to luxury boating things have been taken to the extremes, but a yacht made of precious metals is what a lot of people would consider too much.
The yacht in question is of 100 feet and it has been decked by a UK jeweler in precious metals at the cost of $5 million, so it is the most expensive yacht. It has been especially created for a Malaysian mogul and it got the name of History Supreme. The boat itself has been created by Baia Yachts in Italy and the precious metal has been added in Malaysia under the supervision of the jeweler from Liverpool.
It took the professionals 3 years to complete the project and there have been over 100,000 kg of gold and platinum used on the deck, the dining area and on any part of the yacht, including the bottom part of the hull. In case a piece of the yacht can be made of metal, in this case the piece in question has been created of gold.
The yachting style of this boat is made even more interesting, because the master bedroom isn’t only made of platinum, but also meteoric stone and genuine T-Rex bone.
This kind of exclusive yachting slows down the yacht quite a bit, even though the normal speed of it would be of 40-50 knots. For the owner luxury yachting isn’t enough, he also wanted the jeweler to make him a luxury private jet of the same kind, but because of the weight of the precious metals it would never get off the ground.
Although not many people would like to own such a boat, for sure everybody would like to see how it looks and what it is capable of.
