British Airways or how you redefine first class flights
British Airways incurred a loss of millions of pounds last year. Despite that, they have now invested £100 million and given their customers a glimpse of the finest quality in flying. British Airways have revamped their First Class features and facilities with this new investment pumped in. Obviously returns will only accumulate after the risk is taken and the investment has been made.
More than 10 years after they had made changes to their First Class facilities, this new look of the First Class cabin was long due. The cabin emulates the experience of private jet flying for customers, with seats having 60% more shoulder space, adding to the comfort, especially for long flights. Along with all the other small but detailed arrangements like a USB port, noise-canceling headsets and mood lighting, passengers can expect to be delighted by their own wardrobe and buddy seat. The latter allows a passenger to dine with another passenger in-flight. Add to all of these electronic blinds with personal control mechanisms as well as an entertainment screen, and the flight promises to be an ultra-luxurious one.
Rachel Weisz, who is a frequent flier with British Airways, affirms that there is none better than British Airways First Class if you’re looking for “style, stellar service and complete luxury”.
Inspired by the luxury offered by private flying as well as reputed luxury brands like Jaguar, the new British Airways First Class cabin leaves nothing left for the flier to yearn for in terms of comfort and luxury. For those who choose to work on flight, there is a leather-bound writing desk which doubles up as a dining table, if necessary.
Mark Hassell, head of customer experience, BA, believes in keeping it simple and high-value rather than flashy. The First Class cabin is not installed with flashy gadgets but makes for a simple and comfortable flying experience
