Embraer Phenom 100 – a super luxury jet and an amazing style
Embraer’s Phenom 100 introduced a lavish cabin and reliable performance, which just moved the competition one step ahead in the swarming very light jet (VLJ) marketplace.
The main rival competitors of Phenom 100 in this market are Eclipse 500 and Cessna’s Citation Mustang. In comparison, the performance of these three jets is almost the same. Phenom is said to be the fastest of all, Mustang’s range is longer comparing to others and the Eclipse has the shortest takeoff and landing benefit.
Cessna is a recognized private jet manufacturer with best network support while Eclipse is financially stronger. Still Embraer is a Brazilian regional airlines and military planes manufacturer, not exactly well known but being the world’s fourth plane manufacturer with 17,000 employees and $3.5bn revenue per year.
Phenom’s cabin is considerably bigger, wider and taller than the ones of Eclipse and Mustang and it is so designed to fit four passenger seats arranged by pairs, facing each other keeping enough place to put folded tables between them. That means, it has additional place to provide like more space to spread the legs.
Along with these Phenom 100 also includes a wardrobe and a refreshment cabinet. Designed by BMW Designworks — which has a history in very traditional jet manufacture business, the Phenom has a 45 cubic feet baggage hold — certainly more than enough space to keep golf clubs and skis, its size being twice the volume of Eclipse. During long flights, a private toilet can be a benefit that can be found on Phenom 100.
The delayed entry in the VLJ market is an advantage for Phenom 100 as the two of its competitors are overbooked and people have to wait almost one year for the delivery of the ordered plane.
The main advantage is that Phenom 100 can be delivered faster and Embraer can ensure high performance and reliability with their long aviation experience. They have precise on time delivery records and they are also offering maintenance agreement at a fixed rate.
