Epic Elite or flying from another perspective

The Epic Elite is a relative baby to the luxury air travel industry. That being said, this baby took off running. Designed by Epic Aviation, the Elite had its maiden flight in 2007 at the AirVenture 2007 at Oshkosh. The Epic, a VLJ (very light jet) not only has twin engines, but is also a single pilot machine.

Reaching more than 41,000 ft in less than 17 minutes, the Elite is the top of the line and powered by 2 Williams Jet FJ-33-4 engines. They give 1,415 kg of thrust and the jet boasts a top speed of 410 KTAS.

Using the innovative new Garmin G900X all glass panels, the Elite is RSVM (Reduced Vertical Separation Minimum) compliant, and has an extremely advanced cockpit.

Epic Aircraft has a motto: “Fill it up. Go the distance. Leave nothing behind.” The Elite can do this and then some. Even with the cargo hold packed to the seams, every single seat in the plane occupied and the fuel tanks filled, it can take off and handle beautifully.

The Elite was designed to have a minimum of drag and disturbance with the help of a computer-designed fuselage. Drag is also reduced by the way the aircraft has been put together. There are no welds or rivets to catch air and produce drag. This is a plane that has been well thought out in design and as such offers more comfort and speed to its passengers.

If you are looking for a charter plane or private jet to purchase, then the Epic Elite should be near the top of your list. Whether you charter or buy this plane you will not be disappointed in luxury, comfort, style, design, and even the way it handles in the air.
