Qatar Airlines using only the best
There are some airlines which spare no effort and indeed no expense to ensure that they offer the best in class aircraft as well as accompanying comfort to their passengers. This is what differentiates them from the others and ensures that these airlines lead the market in customer satisfaction parameters and metrics.
One of these airlines is Qatar Airways which has ordered 6 and not just 2 Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The delivery of these aircraft is expected to be from September next year.
This was announced by the airline as an indication that it would like to increase the service in terms of quality of aircraft and all the attendant benefits and accompanying luxuries.
In addition to this, Qatar Airways has also indicated that it wants to finish off talks with Bombardier of Canada where it would invest in as many as 20 or 30 of the C-series aircraft in the month of July. These are all signs of robust growth as well as development in the market for the company. The company expects to wrap up a deal with Bombardier by the time the Farnborough air show is on.
Qatar Airways is a company that has 83 aircraft at the moment, which it plans to increase to around 120 by the year 2013. This is why the company has placed orders for a large number of aircraft which are worth more than $40 billion. There are plans for the company to launch a slew of new flights to Spain, Argentina and Brazil, not to mention Iraq, where it could fly to Najaf or Baghdad where it has flying rights to.
As if April, Qatar Airways had a loss of $5 million per day and this was due to the Iceland volcanic ash groundings. The company has grand plans of building and operating or buying and managing four 5 start hotels in the next 3-4 years so as to straddle the whole range of services in the tourism and travel sector
