Concept of charter plane was discovered to facilitate business executives to give relaxation on expensive ownership of aircrafts. Similar luxury and flexibility is offered by charted flights at less cost.

It is difficult to predict when first air charter was put into practice but boom in air charter business came in 1960s after launching of first corporate jet. Name of first commercially used air craft was Learjet 23. The aircraft with its sleek P-16 Swiss fighter inherited design got tremendous response from experts from private aviation field.

After that private aviation filed has not look back and introduced more and more private jet aircrafts and set high standards of business travel.

From 1960s to 1990s major issue of private aviation companies was that there was no information available online regarding time or availability of the aircrafts and people had to rely upon yellow pages or personal contacts to hire an aircraft. Locations of private jet aircrafts were not known to people and sometimes business executives had to take commercial services to meet the requirements. There was no guarantee that if you reach the destination the aircraft would be available.

In 1990s advent of internet brought gyration for air charter industry. Local jet charter operators started advertising on internet to attract global audience. After internet facility business model of private aviation services took 90 degree turn and started many programs like jet card, membership programs, fractional ownership, emerging of brokers to fetch global audience for fleets.

Starting from heavy aircrafts to light model fully Wi-Fi enabled aircrafts are available today with VIP facilities and five star level luxuries. On-Demand concept adds a new dimension to private air craft services that allows valuable customers to hire aircraft on per trip basis. Now in new decade availability of multiple private aircraft companies and competition one can choose from range choice according to service and safety provisions comparing with the cost.
