A super yacht to overthrow the Maltese falcon

Maltese Falcon has proudly been the largest luxury sailing yacht for sometime now, but soon it will lose the status. At 141 meters, this honor will soon be, Dubai’s. It has been commissioned by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum. Dream Ship Victory from Turkey has been asked to design this mammoth luxury yacht.

Maltese Falcon was the baby of naval architects Ken Freivokh Design and Dykstra & partners. The same people who are now designing Dubai to be the biggest luxury sailing yacht. The designers involved establish that the building of such a huge yacht will not remain the fantasy of a super rich but it will definitely materialize as one of the best around. DSV sure knows how to make their super clients’ dreams come true.

Maltese Falcon is the epitome of high tech wonders and is no doubt a great sail worthy yacht. The new gigantic project of DSV will try to beat it in every aspect but not in its technological worth. The new giant will be like Maltese made entirely of wood. Unlike Maltese it will have four masts to boast of while Maltese has three.

This huge creation will be a real time test for its designers and builders alike. The previous gems from their repertoire are considerable smaller. Some well known sailing yachts from DSV are Imagination (42m), Princess Maria (55), and Mikhail Vorontsoy (65m).

The ambitious concept of the gigantic luxury sailing yacht was first presented during the Monaco Yacht show. It was displayed at the Dykstra and partners stand. Hopefully the construction should begin in the year 2011. All eyes will be peeled for its launch.

It may take some time for the Maltese Falcon to be dwarfed, but it is sure to happen. The latest from Dream Ship Victory is truly a victory of dreams.
