Audi Med Cup at the third edition for the sailing passionate
The Audi Med Cup has raced through the historic port that is a Mediterranean jewel. Audi Medcup has taken part in the Marseille Trophy for the third successive year in a row. The first event of the season will be lead by the Emirates Team New Zealand (TP52 Series) and Puerto Calero (GP42 Series). Portugal Trophy Cascais that contested last month on water was a new entrant to the event but the Circuit participants are now well aware of the Marseille’s Rades.
TP52 regatta that took place last year saw the Emirates Team New Zealand’s (NZL) experiencing a thread of regatta victories. A tough competition is expected this time. A million dollar question is that whether the kiwi’s will retain their title on the Marseille Trophy this time also or will another team takeover the victory from the Emirates Team New Zealand’s (NZL) in this competition. The New Zealand team has been consistent through out and this is what keeps them going places.
Several contenders have brought up some changes in their teams to add more strength to it. Vasco Vascotto has joined the Francesco Bruni as a strategist to add up to the team’s talent pool. He seems to have great plans to the team and expects his team to do really well this season.
The British team has recently brought in Grant Simmer (AUS) as the team director. TeamOrigin has made sure to run this season smoothly and has discarded the keel winglets that caused a problem in Portugal.
On more team called AIRISESSENTIAL (ITA) has also brought in changes whereby Roberto Benamati (ITA) replaces Gabriele Bruni (ITA) in this event as the team’s tactician.
On June 12, 2010 that falls on a Saturday the grand and fresh Audi MedCup Public Village will be opened for this season. Audi Driving games, grinding competitions, and other such events will keep the interactive sessions alive.
