Bill Dixon -awarded in Asia for his amazing yacht design
This year the Asia Boating Awards did something a little different. They added a new category. The very first winner in that category, “Yacht Designer in Asia of the Year” was a man named Bill Dixon. This is a high accomplishment because this award is likely to become highly coveted in years to come. Bill has designed quite a few yachts and each and every one of them shows the style and commitment that he brings to his craft.
For the last 25 years, Dixon has been working to establish a clientele in the Asian market. One of the reasons that he is so successful at this is because he has taken the time to immerse himself in the culture and traditions of the people. He has gained knowledge of the business relationships that had he not lived and learned there he never could have gained. He now has an operations base which covers Taiwan, China, Thailand and Korea. Not one to be put into a box Dixon does not just design yachts but has branched out from there. His designs also include Super yachts, one design sailing yachts, wooden schooners, and motorboats.
Some of Bill Dixon’s yachts are the finest in the world. He not only sells them in the Asian market, but to anyone in the world. He has a design team that he has cultivated over the years and they work together fluently. The plan for the team is to continue for the future and to expand as they go. They are excited to be a part of the burgeoning yachting industry in Asia and look forward to being looked on as key producers in that area. From the way it looks, their goal will not be hard to reach.
