2010 marks the Marmaris Yacht Charter Show’s 10th year. This show is an annual event in Marmaris, Turkey and it showcases different charter yachts from different companies. This year 71 companies have entered 78 yachts to be shown. There are all kinds of yachts on display at this event. From sailing yachts to motor yachts and even Turkish Gulets, you can see almost every type of charter yacht available at this show.

Turkish Gulets are unique in that they are built to resemble a Turkish vessel that is traditionally a coastal vessel. Because of this, they are built on a different style and to different standards than your normal charter yachts. They are normally made of steel or wood. The Gulets are large vessels and tend to be quite ‘beamy’. Complete with large staterooms that all have private baths, every passenger will be comfortable. The en suite baths are often done in marbles and the towels and even the sheets on the beds are all of the highest quality. The decks on the Gulets are much larger than what you would normally expect to see on a charter yacht. They are perfect for sun bathing or even just dancing under the stars with that special someone. To that end, whether you dine al fresco or inside, the full service dining is always complimented by the fine wine selection as well.

When going to the Marmaris Charter Yacht Show, it would be a wise thing to go ahead and take a few days before and after to cruise up and down the coast to see exactly what it is that Turkish charter yachts have to offer in terms of sights along the coast. If nothing else, it will be a nice getaway for you.
